The most anticipated game of the decade has a date: Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026. In September, Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, reaffirmed the date at its annual shareholder meeting, after two delays.
Platforms
- PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro).
- Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
- PC: Rockstar hasn’t announced a PC version. With previous games (GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2), the PC version came after the console release. Be wary of sites offering “GTA 6 for PC” downloads: they’re scams or malware.
Price
The standard edition costs $79.99 in the US on both consoles. Pre-orders are open on the PlayStation and Xbox stores. Anyone who buys before November 20 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, with extra in-game items.

What we know about the game
GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, with the return of Vice City, and has two protagonists, Jason and Lucia. On August 27, Rockstar released a roughly 27-minute gameplay video.
